Once rehabilitated and retrained, our rescue horses participate in day camps and life-changing therapy for at-risk youth, veterans, and others in the community.
Equine Angels Youth Camps have been created to share the magic of horses and the Cowboy Code of Ethics with our youth, presented from Equus Rescue and Therapy located at 8743 LePere School Road in Millstadt, Illinois.
Utilizing our rescued horses, Jenny Vaught from For the Horse Ranch of Florida, teaches principles of natural horsemanship to children ages 8 years old to 16 years old. These principles instill in each child the ability to openly share their goals, dreams and how to get started on that path (yes, even at 8 years old!). Equine horsemanship teaches empathy, kindness, focus, respect and learning to step into their leadership abilities for child and horse.
"Campers" are provided with a t-shirt, back pack, journals and art supplies. Craft projects, water balloon fights, food and beverages will be provided for each child along with a lot of smiles and laughter.
